I'm currently studying Journalism at the University of Lincoln as a second year going into third year (where my specialist topics will be Sports Journalism and Broadcast (radio)). At the same time, I am studying for the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) Diploma (and have recently achieved my 80wpm teeline shorthand qualification).
I'm often asked where my interest in journalism started. I always respond by telling people that I was 'bitten by the bug' following my first ever live media appearance at the tender age of 2 years old. An edited clip of my appearance, with my parents, on This Morning (with Richard and Judy) on the 21st March 2001 can be found below (subject to copyright approval).
For those who managed to sit through this, it goes without saying that I will forever be grateful to the doctors and nurses at both the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Whilst in the end, I did not require a bone marrow transplant, my thanks again to the Anthony Nolan Trust who supported me in my search.
